1.2.1 Donate Rs. 51 Lakhs to PM Flood Disaster Relief Fund (2024)

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has provided NPR 51 Lakhs to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for families affected by floods, inundations, and landslides. Previously, the association had announced a contribution of NPR 1 Crores to support those impacted by the continuous rainfall that led to floods, inundations, and landslides. As part of this commitment, the NRNA has distributed food and clothing at the local level, in addition to contributing the amount to the central government as aid.

1.2.2 Relief Distribution to Flood and Landslide-Affected Families (2024)

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has distributed relief worth over Rs 6o lakhs to families affected by floods, inundations, and landslides. The association provided food supplies, clothing, mattresses, tarpaulins, solar lights, first aid kits, and other essentials to 50 families in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality, Sisneri; 70 families in Kavre’s Panauti; and 60 families in Tistungkhola, Lalitpur. Additionally, relief was distributed to 13 families from Bhotekhola Rural Municipality, Sankhuwasabha, currently residing in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, who were impacted by the recent floods and inundations. Relief aid was also provided to 36 families in Konjyosom, Lalitpur. The distribution was carried out in coordination with local authorities, targeting the most severely affected areas.

1.2.3 Support to Sunsari Flood Victims (2008)

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) provided relief funds amounting to 6,104,807 Nepalese Rupees to flood victims in Sunsari. This support was gathered in 2008 after severe flooding affected the region. The flood had a devastating impact on many families in Sunsari, disrupting their livelihoods and daily activities. NRNA’s assistance helped these victims access temporary shelter, food, and other essential supplies. Additionally, in 2017, under the “Saptari Flood Emergency Response,” NRNA provided substantial assistance amounting to 24 million Nepalese Rupees.

1.2.4 Supports Seti and sunkoshi Flood Victims with Relief Efforts (2012- 2014)

In 2012, under the “Seti Flood Victim Relief Fund,” the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) contributed 50 Lakhs Nepalese Rupees in support of those affected by the Seti flood. This funding aimed to provide essential relief to the victims and help them recover from the devastating impact of the disaster.

In 2013, NRNA provided additional support amounting to 43 Lakhs 63 thousand 8 hundreds 18 Nepalese Rupees for flood victims.

 Furthermore, under the “Sunkoshi Flood Relief Fund,” NRNA contributed 5 Lakhs 68 Thousands 3 hundreds 59 Nepalese Rupees in 2014 as well. These efforts aimed to assist those affected by the floods and aid in their recovery.

1.2.5 Support to Saptari and Lidi Flood victim (2017-2020)

 In 2017, the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) provided relief assistance worth 2 corer 40 Lakhs Nepali Rupees for those affected by floods and inundation in Saptari, Nepal. Under the leadership of President Shesh Ghale, an emergency relief fund was established to collect aid for flood victims. The NRNA distributed short-term food supplies to families whose homes were washed away. Additionally, to address potential outbreaks following the floods, the NRNA also conducted health camps.

Similarly, in 2020, NRNA Provided NPR 7 Lakhs 18 Thousand 5 hundreds 75 to victim of Lidi flood and landslide victim

यस हप्ताको आइतवार देखी हाल सम्म परेको अविरल वर्षाकाका कारण नेपालका पूर्वी तथा पश्चिमि भेगहरु प्रभावित भएका छन् । यसबाट ठूलो मात्रामा जन धनको क्षति भई हजारौं व्यक्तिहरु प्रभावित भएका छन् । यसबाट दिवगंत हुनु भएका व्यक्तिका परिवार प्रति गहिरो समवेदना प्रकट गर्दछौ । यस प्राकृतिक प्रकोपबाट बढी क्षती बेहोर्नु परेको कैलाली जिल्लाका अति प्रभावित परिवारहरुका लागि हाल नेपालमा रहनु भएका संघका पदाधिकारीहरु प्रत्यक्ष सहभागी भई राहत वितरण गर्ने योजना रहेको छ । 

गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघले मातृभूमीमा आइपरेको आपत विपतमा जहिले पनि सहयोग गर्दै आएको यहाँहरुलाई अवगत नै छ । तसर्थ यस मानवीय कार्यको लागि आफूले सक्दो सहयोग गर्न सम्पुर्ण राष्ट्रिय समन्वय परिषदहरु तथा गैरआवासीय नेपालीहरुमा हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछौ । सहयोग रकम तलको खातामा पठाइ सचिवालयलाई जानकारी गरउन हुन समेत अनुरोध गर्दछौ ।
