The Kiriya Putri House, located in the Pashupati area, is a charitable initiative led by Dr. Upendra Mahato, the Founding President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). This project was established in memory of Dr. Mahato’s late mother, Phool Kumari Mahto, through the Phool Kumari Mahato Memorial Trust. It provides essential facilities to the community and exemplifies the NRNA’s commitment to social welfare.
The building features 14 comfortable rooms with attached bathrooms, and includes the reconstruction of ten additional rooms originally built by other donors, enhancing the overall capacity and utility of the facility. With a total cost of NPR 1 crore 1 lakh, 11 thousand, 1 hundred and 11 Rupees, this significant investment highlights the dedication of Dr. Upendra Mahato and the NRNA to community development.
